Hands-On: Sony’s ‘Project Morpheus’ PS4 Virtual Reality Headset
I’m really excited about this, particularly for Gran Turismo 7. Though John Carmack did set expectations with this tweet:
Calibrate PS4 VR expectations: a game that ran 60 fps on PS3 could be done in VR (stereo 1080 MSAA low latency 60 fps) on PS4
They were also demoing an Eve-universe space sim. If Disney gives me an X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter sequel, I can die happy.
Phones, tablets, netbooks: taking stock of the HP/Palm deal (or ‘Dreaming of Dual-booting’)
Just a couple of weeks ago I mentioned that I was dreaming of a tablet that could dual-boot Android and Windows 7, but I’d be just as happy with one that could dual-boot web-OS and Windows 7 (I already have an Android phone and variety is the spice of life… especially when it comes to touch OSs). I should have my iPad by this evening, but I’m already thinking ahead to next year and my next tablet, and it looks like the front-runner right now is HP.
